Certified Fraud Examiner & CFE Qualification
Obtaining the Credential
Maintaining Excellence
The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential is recognized globally as the premier certification for anti-fraud professionals. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate professional proficiency in four key areas: Fraud Prevention and Deterrence, Financial Transactions and Fraud Schemes, Investigation, and Law. Becoming a CFE requires a combination of academic achievement, professional experience, and successful completion of the ACFE examination.
Maintaining the CFE credential signifies a lifelong commitment to professional development and ethical standards. Certified Fraud Examiners are required to earn a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually, including two hours specifically focused on ethics. This ensures that every CFE remains at the forefront of the latest fraud detection techniques and emerging digital risks in an ever-evolving global landscape.
The Global Standard
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Together with more than 90,000 members, the ACFE is reducing business fraud worldwide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession.
